[ENG] Strawberry Syrup + How to Make Strawberry Soda & Strawberry Lemonade

Hi everyone!! After almost two month write not even a single thing on this blog, i'm finally back! lol Last month, there were soo many things i wanna do, but i ended up doing nothing -.-"

Anyway it's been really hot these days and it makes me wanna drink lots of delicious cold summer drinks. And as i always do everyday, i watched youtube & found some summer drinks recipes from Foodwishes (my fav food vlogger!). This one is really simple to make, it's literally just strawberry, water & sugar. No food coloring, the gorgeous red color of the syrup is all comes from the strawberries!!

You can make lots of different summer drinks with this, strawberry soda, strawberry tea, strawberry lemonade, just use your imagination & try some different combinations. But,  the simplest & actually my favorite is, just mix the syrup w/ water & ice cubes :) pure strawberry flavor!!

Ingredients:
2 lbs (1 kg) ripe strawberries
3 cups (750 ml) cold water
2 cups (400 g) white granulated sugar
(I  had less than 500 g of strawberries, so i made half of the recipe.)

1. Cut off the green leaves of the strawberries then cut them in quarters (it's depend on the size of your strawberries, i you have huge strawberries, just cut them in eights.). Put them in a sauce pan.

2. Pour in the water, bring that over to the stove and put them on high heat & bring to a boil. When it comes to a boil, reduce the heat down to low and let it simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

3. Turn the heat off & strain the liquid into a clean sauce pan or a bowl. Let it drain for a while but don't push the strawberry pulp through the strainer. Discard the pulp & reserve the liquid.

discard the pulp, or like me, you can just freakin eat it lol  mix it w/ a couple
tablespoons of sugar and mix, it's taste like less sweet strawberry jam!
it may look gross but actually it's still pretty yummy ;)

isn't the color really pretty? XD

4. Put the liquid into a clean sauce pan & and add in the sugar & stir. Bring it back to a boil. When it comes to a boil, reduce the heat to medium low & simmer for 5 minutes, while skimming off the foam from the top. Turn of the heat & let it cool completely.

5. Transfer it into a container (i used a mason jar) & keep it in the fridge.
Btw i used 2 kinds of strawberries, one is darker in color, which i think made the color of this syrup really red & gorgeous i couldn't stop starring at it lol
And be sure to follow the measurement in the recipe. I did add more water than i should've to and mine turned out a bit lacking of the strawberry flavor ;( it's still really good though!

Strawberry Soda
Pack your glass with ice cubes, fill half  with the syrup & half with soda. Stir with a straw, or in my case, a metal chopstick :P

Strawberry Lemonade
you'll need:
- ice cubes
- half of a small lemon
- 5-7 mint leaves
- strawberry syrup
Wash the lemon & mint leaves. Cut 1/4 of the lemon into 2 disks & cut the disks into quarters, put them in the glass. Squeeze the juice from the remaining lemon into the glass. Crush/squeeze(?) the mint leaves w/ your hand so they release some of the aroma & flavour, then put it in you glass. Pack the glass with ice cubes and fill it with the strawberry syrup until about half of the glass, or as much/little as you want. Fill the rest with water & stir.
