[ENG] Basic Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients (for 3-4 servings):
2 large potatoes
1/2 stick (60 g) of butter (or more)
few splash of milk
salt & pepper to taste
italian herb seasoning for garnish (optional)

1. Peel the potatoes, cut them into quarters. Put enough water in the pan and salt generously (about 1/2 tbsp), put the potatoes. Cook on high until it comes to a boil, then turn the heat down to medium-low, cook the potatoes until tender (about 20 minutes).

check if the center of the potatoes are well-cooked & tender, it's better to overcook the potatoes a bit than to undercook them

2. Strain the potatoes, put them back into the pan, set the heat on low to evaporate the remaining moisture from the potatoes. Mash them with potato wire masher.

3. Add in the butter, mash & stir until it get a bit creamy, then add the milk, stir well. Lastly, season with salt & pepper to taste. (i had enough salt in my water for cooking the potatoes so i didn't have to add more salt)

Garnish with italian herbs seasoning (optional).

My brunch/lunch without fancy plating whatsoever lol
